Yoga for Climbers

January 2, 2011
3:30 PMto4:45 PM

Yoga for Climbers is a great opportunity to start getting tuned-up for spring climbing. This class will focus on the synergy between yoga and rock climbing. Both disciplines involve precise movement linked with breath, strength and intense mental focus. Yoga can improve your turn out, stabilize tweaky shoulders, stretch and heal over stressed tendons, improve core strength and aid you in developing the mental toughness that is necessary to do the really hard routes. This class is a appropriate for experienced yogi/climbers or climbers with no yoga experience at all. Non-climbers are also welcome.

Page Lee will be instructing. Formerly a nationally ranked top-30 competitive climber with 5.12 onsight experience, she has solid insight into climbing movement. Page has been practicing yoga for eight years, finding it a wonderful complement to her climbing and other athletic pass times. She recently completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program at Gotta Yoga.
